Grant ➡️ Benkelman
Mrs. Bishop and several of her HS students took @PCS_Pride’s planetarium to @dcstigers Elem. and gave presentations to their K-6 students. It was also good to reconnect with PCS alumna, Mrs. Jessie (Woodmancy) Krug, who is now the K-12 Librarian/Media Specialist at DCS! Mrs. Krug was able to slip in to watch the show with the 5th graders, shown here.
The planetarium was purchased for PCS through a grant provided by the Perkins Co. Schools Foundation.
Many thanks to Mr. Freeland, DCS Elem. Principal, for helping line up this learning opportunity for PCS and DCS students.

Preschool: Fall Fun 🍂
Our little ones took the parachute outside, gathered up some leaves and made their own “leaf storm.” There were lots of giggles, teamwork and happy faces all around!

3rd-6th Grade HAL: 5-Dice
The probability for rolling 5-of-a-kind on a single roll is 1/1296 or 0.077%. Even through the odds were against them, one student managed to roll five 3s and win the round!

Science (3rd Grade):
Mrs. Cunningham's students have been learning about inherited traits. Each student received a code of traits from parent 1 and parent 2. They had to read their codes and use clay to create an offspring based on the codes. @AmplifyScience #HQIM

As a former science teacher, you just knew that Superintendent Jolliffe was going to be a big fan of Sam's costume!

Careers:
Mrs. Fergusons students have been discussing proper attire for interviews. Today they all had to demonstrate how to tie a tie. #collegeandcareerreadiness

Mrs. Cunningham’s students had a little spooky reading in science class — thanks to some plastic fingers and skeletons to help with tracking.
