Today is Day #1 of a multi-day FFA Officer Retreat. Besides hashing out their plans for the Perkins County Fair, they’ll also look at the upcoming school school and participate in some “community building” and fun, camaraderie activities.

Plainsmen Wrestling Camp was hosted by Cameron Riggs. Cameron is an undefeated (201-0) 4x NE State Champ and 2x NCAA DII Team National Champ at St. Cloud State in MN. We appreciate Cameron’s willingness to share his wrestling knowledge with 30 area HS and JH wrestlers.

It’s #ThrowbackThursday…all the way back to the 1942-43 school year at PCHS. This newspaper article dated Dec. 17, 1942, and pictures taken from the 1943 yearbook reflect PCHS’s work to support America’s war efforts and the Plainsmen graduates who joined the service.
The concrete substructure for the FFA Animal Learning Lab is in place. Rick Dreiling, PC Head of Maintenance, is using the bobcat to do some earth work around the foundation. #plainsmenpride #CTE

Continuous Improvement Process:
Every 5 years the NE Dept. of Education conducts an External Review of school districts. Perkins Co. Schools’ next review will take place this November. Admin and staff are working collaboratively to collect artifacts and data for this visit.
Congrats to @PCS_Pride Coach Brendan Geier and #ClassOf2024 senior, Nolan Foster, on being selected to participate in today’s Sertoma 8-Man All-Star Football Game. The game was held at Hastings College.

It’s #ThrowbackThursday…and today’s post features Grainton HS (Grainton, NE). The 1931 GHS BBB team included every boy in the school, per this clipping found in a yearbook. Now unincorporated, the community resides in the Perkins Co. School Dist. 68-0020.
