JH Character Education:
We promise…they’re not napping. One of the standards for JH Character Education is utilizing effective coping skills. Today students practiced using different mindfulness strategies to deal with life’s challenges/stress in healthy ways.
Perkins County TeamMates currently has 70 mentor/mentee matches (grades 6-12). We are looking for 8 additional mentors. Contact our TeamMates Coordinator, Julie Ferguson, with questions.

Preschool:
Miss Brandie’s preschoolers decorated telescopes for today’s nature walk. Students practiced using their sense of sight with the telescopes. This is just one of the fun activities they’ll do as a part of their “Senses” unit. #EngagedLearners #PC5 #plainsmenpride
Book Club:
Sixteen 3rd graders chose to participate in a weekly book club with Mrs. Turner (Media Specialist). The group meets during students’ lunch time. Their first book is “Stone Fox” by John Reynolds’s Gardiner. #reading
