5th Grade Science - Earth Day
Students recycled their canned food tins from home. They painted and reused them as planters. Today students planted wildflowers in them to celebrate Earth Day.

The ceiling tiles are slowly being transformed into book characters. Artwork has been created by Lisa York (para) and students from independent art at the high school - including Libby Cole, Markel Mackee, Rodolfo Aragon, Payton Gaffron and Trevyn Tucker.

FFA members and additional PC high school students spent the afternoon out at the 105-year-old Kumor Family Farm, pitching in to help maintain existing hedges and clear space for new plants. One of the highlights of the day was a surprise tour of the old potato cellar, which doubled as a fallout shelter. This was definitely a cool bit of Perkins County history for a Friday afternoon!

Students have been learning about weather. For this lesson, they look at rain and made "rainstorms in a cup."
6th Grade Math:
Mrs. Sanders's students have been working on a week-long meal plan project.
