PCS JH students were honored to meet author, Dusti Bowling, via Zoom. Our students are familiar with her work through "Battle of the Books." Dusti encouraged students to use personal experiences to become better writers.
Elementary Assembly:
Students in Grades 4-6 had a virtual author visit with Dusti Bowling. She has had multiple books nominated for the Nebraska Golden Sower Award.

The JH and HS XC Meet scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, has been cancelled. McCook received a significant amount of rain on Tuesday evening, and the course is flooded.

It’s #ThrowbackThursday…all the way back to 1937. While some things at PCHS have definitely changed (models of vehicles) it appears that some things never change — in this case students having reserved parking spots at school, although in 2025 it’s more like “unofficial spots.”
Juniors spent the morning touring N. Platte’s MPCC campus. This afternoon they attended a college fair in Ogallala. Trips like these are a part of our intentional effort to get PCS students on the campuses of community, trade, small-college and university campuses prior to HS graduation.

🚨🏈 JV FB Schedule Change
(9/15/25)
The PCS JV FB Team will not play at NPSP on Sept. 15, 2025, as previously scheduled. Instead, our JV team will play Sandhills Valley in Tryon, NE. Game time will be 4:00 p.m. MT.
Physical Science (9th Grade):
Students are using various tools (measuring tape, stopwatch, electric balance) to conduct a lab and calculate the velocity and momentum of rolling objects.

Mrs. Reimers' students are learning how to use the “CUBES” strategy to solve word problems. This strategy helps them pick out the important information and use clue words to know how to solve the problem.
